Tactical Rundown:
We use three sources to produce our salary estimates:
- Publicly reported salary information
- Unique TransferRoom market data e.g. League average opportunity salary budgets
- ML data models to predict salaries based on factors including player skill level, the economics of his club and league, when he signed his last contract and his previous salary
These three sources are combined using our algorithms to triangulate a likely salary range for a player. When a player makes a move or signs a new contract, the last reported salary likely becomes wrong, but we can use this information to predict the player’s next salary.
Our salary database covers 90,000 players, with the salaries always being expressed as ranges of Gross Annual Basic Salary, meaning before tax and without bonuses. These salary estimates power our recommendations on TransferRoom and are available to full API users.
