Why can't I pitch my player to a requirement
This article explains the match % score linked to pitching and why you might not be able to pitch your player to a requirement.
In most cases, your player needs to have a match % of at least 60% to be pitchable to a requirement.
The match % on a requirement is a measure of how well any player is suited for any opportunity on TransferRoom. It algorithmically assesses the player on a wide range of criteria that are important to the buying club and uses machine learning to calculate a score. The higher the score, the more likely a pitch is to lead to interest - allowing you to optimise your pitching, find opportunities fast and maximise success.

The model criteria can be categorised as explicit - directly specified by the team when creating the opportunity, or predicted - inferred by TransferRoom Intelligence. The key criteria in each category:
Explicit
- Age Range and Minimum Height of the opportunity
- Playing Style
- Preferred Nationality or Region
- Fee and salary budgets of the opportunity compared with the players' xTV and estimated salary
- The type of opportunity (buy or loan) and the players' fit to each type
Predicted
- A players' rating and potential rating compared to the teams' current players
- The players' suitability to the teams' current head coach
- Whether a player is likely to get a visa to play for the team (and other nationality restrictions)
- The historical transfer habits of the club e.g. which markets and leagues they typically sign from
- The transfer window status of the team (upcoming / open / recently closed)
The Recommendation % model is calibrated using over 1 million historical pitches on TransferRoom, and updates in real time to account for the changing situations of both player and club. A player is a "Best Match" for an opportunity when they have a Recommendation % of 90 or higher.
